Uta Brandes - Gender, Power and Almightiness
Products and signs will be analysed using the categories of gender and sex in order to find out which objects project power and which types of power are assigned to which gender

A training in writing profound reviews on relevant design-related publications
- ‘Kunstflieger': Postcards for the Museum Ludwig (Cologne)
Designing postcards for this museum of contemporary art and for the difficult-to-reach target market of 18 to 30 years olds with the objective to attract a young audience to the museum's art shows
- KISD Evaluation
A qualitative, empiric study on the general atmosphere at KISD and the forms of cooperation and communication as well as learning processes of its students and staff. MichaelErlhoff - Writings on Design Theory
Reading, interpretation and discussion of different writings which are relevant for reflection in design.
- Twenty Years of KISD (in cooperation with Uta Brandes)
It started in 1991 as ‘Fachbereich Design' at the Cologne University of Applied Arts and is now generally known as KISD: the ‘Koelner Modell' will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2011. This project will focus on the development and design of numerous activities for this special day.
- New Radical Design (in cooperation with Prof. Michael Gais)
Exhibition design and development of concepts for the accompanying conference held jointly by KISD and its New York based partner school Parsons The New School.
- KISDshop
Development and management of a design shop run by KISD students and offering products and services by KISD students and students from KISD's partner universities.
- Koelner Design Preis
Supporting the Koelner Design Preis event: communication with all participating schools at home and abroad, jury support, organising the awards ceremony and the exhibition. |
