There is no better way to transform a revolutionary outcry (Georg Büchner’s “Peace to the huts, war on the palaces!”) into the present time with its (media) abstractions. In general, everyone agrees and means well, if only it weren’t for the small facts. An example of what small facts look like (Jürgen Dahl wrote it down): The extinction of the Philippine eagle. Tropical forests are being cut down to produce the meat that fast-food restaurants use to make their meatballs. This endangers the Philippine eagle’s existence. The profit made from the sale of the meatballs is then used to finance an educational film about tropical deforestation and the endangerment of the Philippine eagle. War on generalities!
