The details are not the details. They make the design.

The detail, indeed a loan word from the French, formulates per se small parts, in other words, minimized size.

So far, so good. But in fact, most people underestimate the true relevance of details in all areas, including everyday life (as well as our human body). Because it is precisely these details or components that make everything work and hold it together. Other matters are the often almost arbitrary large pieces that are imposed on things or actions. The real meaning of the details – in artifacts, bodies and actions – only becomes painfully apparent when they are defective. Because then nothing works anymore, and the cause is often difficult to find, or means the end of the whole.

Thus, let us praise the details and acknowledge their beautiful meaning.
