“In a world which really is topsy-turvy, the true is a moment of the false.”

Guy Debord

Similar to DADA, the Situationist International also assumed that the world which is said to be real only offers irrationality and that what is considered true in this world is nonsense. However, this still implies the possibility of truth. In a certain way, Debord, in the spirit of the student movement, contravenes or ironises Adorno’s realisation (which, though not stupid, has deteriorated into a calendar motto) that there is no right life in the wrong one.
