That’s a good question

Many people often use this stupid statement to gain time for an answer. Typical scenarios are tests, interviews, also discussions. But in such cases, a short pause would always be better than the, albeit born out of helplessness, de facto pompous assessment of a question, even when born of helplessness. Basically, every question is first of all a meaningful question and nobody should rate it morally “good”. Let us be glad if questions are still being raised (unless they are merely rhetoric), because questions announce interest. Even if they superficially do not seem to be very wise.
